Cookie Night began when my sons were little. Jim and I wanted to incorporate more family time into our busy schedules so we would block out the evening on our work calendars and turn off the television and phones. We spent hours gathered around our small kitchen table laughing, mixing ingredients, rolling dough, cutting, baking, decorating and making wonderful memories.
Over the years, we've incorporated crock pot hot cocoa, different genres of Christmas music and sometimes, hats into the mix. Our little group of four has expanded to over two dozen (sometimes more) friends and family.
As our family grows, so does the laughter and memories. Each year is precious to us because we know one day we'll turn our cookie cutters and oven mitts over to the next generation.
What Christmas traditions do you enjoy?
